Course Schedule

Day 1

8:00 to 8:30 AM
Exam Review and what's on the boads.
8:30 to 9:00 AM
Sleep hygeine, circadian rhythm.
9:00 to 9:30 AM
Calibration procedure, biological calibrations and montage calibrations.
9:30 to 10:00 AM
Evaluation of patients and education.
10:00 to 12:00 AM
International 10-20 Electrode System, Placement of leads and modified hookups. Recognizing and troubleshooting artifact. Filters, HFF and LFF
12:00 to 1:00 PM Lunch
1:00 to 2:00 PM Split night protocols, Medicare guidelines, emergency protocol.
2:00 to 3:30 PM Math calculations used in the polysomnography report. MSLT/MWT with calculations.
3:30 to 4:00PM CPAP equipment, masks versus pillows, adaption sessions.
4:00 to 4:30 PM CPAP, BiPAP and oxygen titration.
4:30 to 5:00 PM Sleep disorders and parasomnias, infant sleep.

 

Day 2

8:00 to 10:00 AM AASM guidelines for scoring, R & K Manual.
10:00 to 12:00 AM Scoring Workshop
12:00 to 1:00 PM Lunch
1:00 to 3:00 PM Scoring Workshop continues, booklets with epochs to score, respiratory events to mark, PLM's, EKG arrhythmias, CPAP titration pressure recognition and artifact recognition.
